Every BLENDS A stick begins with the same ingredient: Indonesian clove. What happens after that is where things get interesting. One edition drifts toward ripe berries, another toward guava and soft florals, and a few stay warm and spiced without a trace of menthol. That variety is lovely, but it can turn choosing your next pack into a guessing game.
The simplest way to choose is to start with what you already enjoy. The drinks you order, the fruits you reach for, whether you like things cool and crisp or warm and comforting: your everyday taste says a lot about which edition will feel right. Whether this is your first pack or your fiftieth, every flavor below sits together in our BLENDS for IQOS BONDS range, so the whole family is easy to explore once something catches your eye.
What Makes BLENDS A Different
Most heated tobacco sticks lead with tobacco and add a flavor on top. BLENDS A puts Indonesian clove at the heart of every stick instead, which brings:
- A gentle warmth that settles on the palate rather than the throat
- A soft tingle on the lips and tongue, a natural quality of clove that many people grow to love
- Real depth that keeps fruit notes from tasting thin or sugary
On top of that base, flavor is layered in one of three ways: cooling-free editions built on warmth, honey or fruit; editions that pair clove with an aroma and a menthol finish; and capsule editions where you decide when the fruit arrives. If you have ever wondered why some of these smell so much bolder than others, our piece on why certain heated tobacco flavors carry a stronger aroma explains it, and the same principles apply to BLENDS.
One more thing worth knowing: BLENDS A sticks are made only for IQOS BONDS, and the device is not designed for TEREA or HEETS. Whether you carry the understated IQOS BONDS in Cosmic Black or a brighter shade, the specifications are identical, so your flavor tastes the same in every colour.
Three Questions That Narrow Your Choice
Now that you know how the flavors are built, these questions usually bring nine editions down to two or three:
- Menthol or no menthol? If cooling isn’t for you, head to the non-menthol section, where three solid options are waiting.
- Which flavor family pulls you in? Berry, exotic fruit, floral and stone fruit, or warm spice and honey.
- Fixed flavor or capsule control? Standard editions taste steady from start to finish, while the Mix editions let you switch things up halfway.

If You Prefer Warm, Non-Menthol Flavors
Menthol can feel too sharp for some people, and for others it simply covers up the taste they actually want. If you lean that way, this corner of the range was made with you in mind.
BLENDS A Warm Edition
The BLENDS A Warm Edition opens softly with woody, slightly fruity clove. A few draws in, exotic fruit aromas drift through and lighten the spice without making it sweet, before warm spice notes settle on the palate and linger with no cooling at all. It suits former cigarette smokers, fans of spiced chai and anyone who likes a relaxed evening session.
If you want something even smoother, the Gold Edition swaps the fruit for creamy honey that rounds out the clove without tipping into dessert. And for a plain, honest tobacco taste, the Rich Edition keeps things classic with woody, creamy clove tobacco and a gentle nutty finish. Many of our non-menthol regulars keep two of these three on hand.
If You Love Berry With a Cool Kick
Over on the cooler side of the family, berry and menthol is a pairing that rarely disappoints, with clove underneath so it never tastes like candy.
BLENDS A Purple Edition
The Purple Edition is one of the fuller sticks in the range. A ripe, slightly jammy berry aroma leads the first draw, refreshing clove adds spice and body, and cool menthol sweeps in on the exhale for a crisp finish. It makes a satisfying all-day choice, and once it becomes a habit, Blossom is a natural next step.
If Exotic Fruit Is Your Thing
If berries feel a little too deep and you would rather something sunnier, two editions sit here. They sound alike on paper but take your palate in quite different directions.
BLENDS A Summer Edition
The Summer Edition is bright and easygoing. Light, sunny fruit greets you on the inhale, clove gives it shape, and cool menthol keeps the finish clean. On a 40 degree afternoon in Dubai, it is hard to beat.
BLENDS A Tropical Edition
The Tropical Edition is the more expressive sibling. Fragrant guava opens the draw, floral notes bloom through the middle, and clove keeps it grounded before a refreshing menthol finish. Choose Summer for an effortless crowd pleaser, or Tropical if you enjoy floral teas and noticing something new every few draws.
If You Enjoy Floral and Stone Fruit Notes
Somewhere between the brightness of tropical fruit and the depth of berry sits the gentlest personality in the family.
BLENDS A Blossom Edition
Ask regulars to describe the Blossom Edition and the word you hear most is smooth. A soft plum aroma, closer to plum blossom tea than fresh fruit, opens the draw. Clove wraps that sweetness in warm spice, then a refreshing coolness lifts the finish so it feels light rather than heavy. It suits anyone who finds tropical fruit a bit much and berry a bit too tart.
If You Like Control: The Capsule Mix Editions
Every edition so far delivers one steady flavor. The Mix editions tuck a crushable capsule inside the filter, so one stick gives you two experiences. Each starts with clove and menthol; squeeze the filter gently until it clicks, and fruit flavor fills every draw for the rest of the session. Click early for full fruit from the start, or wait until halfway to enjoy both sides. New to capsules? Our complete guide to capsule flavors focuses on TEREA Pearl, but the click technique works exactly the same way.
BLENDS A Passion Fruit Mix
Before the click, the Passion Fruit Mix is quiet, with gentle cooling and soft clove. Pop the capsule and a tangy passion fruit burst brightens everything, while the finish stays mildly cool so the fruit takes the spotlight.
BLENDS A Watermelon Mix
The Watermelon Mix begins with a crisp menthol and clove base. One click releases juicy, sweet watermelon that tastes like a chilled summer fruit bowl. It is one of the sticks we recommend most to first-time BLENDS buyers, and a few customers like pairing it with an Ocean Blue BONDS device to match its cool personality.
Choosing by Experience Level
A stick that delights a seasoned user can feel like a lot on day one, so experience matters too.
For beginners: Watermelon Mix, Summer and Warm are the friendliest starting points. Rather than committing to a full carton, try a pack or two of different editions and compare them over a few days. Our guide on how many sticks first-time buyers should order walks through the numbers, and the same logic works for BLENDS.
For experienced users: Purple, Blossom and Tropical reward closer attention. Notice how the clove shifts next to berry, plum and guava.
Getting the Best Flavor From Your BONDS
A few easy habits keep every stick tasting the way it should:
- Charge fully before a long day out so heating stays consistent
- Insert sticks straight and to the marked line
- Clean the heating chamber regularly, since residue quietly dulls flavor
- Keep packs out of hot cars during a UAE summer, which can affect both tobacco and capsules
The same care goes for the device itself. If you own the bold Ruby Red IQOS BONDS, an occasional wipe keeps that glossy finish looking new.
